Corona-virus, some Misconceptions, and their answers

In today's column we will only talk about some of the common misconceptions about coronavirus that are related to its basic symptoms. For the past several days many of our acquaintances have been asking us about it and many senior-junior friends. People in his circle of friends are asking similar questions to doctors. For example, Dr. Sahib! I had a mild cough yesterday. Is this Corona? Or a woman who had been feeling chest tightness for months, wondering if it was Corona.
Someone asks if I had a shortness of breath this morning, do I have corona? Or I have a cold, I think I have a corona - the common cold is common these days anyway, it's nothing new but because of the coronavirus it has also become a sign of fear at this time and here If someone sneezes, everyone thinks that he has coronary heart disease.

The same is true of cough. Coughing has been a common occurrence among smokers or drug addicts for years now, but in the current situation, even a mild cough is disturbing. First of all, understand that the biggest symptom found so far in coronavirus patients around the world is persistent fever, which was initially reported to be 100 degrees or more, but is now new. Research has shown that it can be mild, but the fever is persistent, as well as a dry cough that is persistent (remember it is a cough, a dry cough, it does not contain mucus), and thirdly. He has a feeling of tightness in the chest or difficulty in breathing and this symptom is also constant.
At the same time, although there have been many cases in which no known symptom has been found in the patients, their number is equal to the salt in the flour, although the precautionary aspect should be maintained anyway. We have described these symptoms in detail in the previous columns. Have been stated, but it is important to reiterate them here so that the reader can understand it well.
If you have a cold or a mild cough, or if at some point or another you have difficulty breathing for one and a half times, it does not necessarily mean that you have to. Corona is done. Don't blame it on yourself. And don't bother yourself and the rest of the family. It is more likely that it is a common cold or cough, or if someone has asthma or pneumonia or a heart condition, then shortness of breath in such patients is the cause of the disease. Happens from
This does not necessarily mean that he is coronary. So be content. Reassure yourself and your family that this is part of the routine and will pass, as has been the case with almost all of us in our society for centuries. If so, in the first stage, isolate yourself in a room of the house and keep checking the symptoms. Paracetamol is commonly used in homes for fever, so in case of persistent fever, take the same in the morning and evening and increase your strength. Use fruits, vegetables, juices and water as much as possible to boost immunity (remember S, use more of these things even under normal circumstances as they boost the human immune system and keep it healthy), usually it will go away on its own in three to four days, but if the symptoms get worse. This is the time when you should consult a doctor and get tested for corona as a precaution, although it is not necessary that the test be positive, in most cases it is negative. More likely to come.
And even if a person is positive for coronavirus, it does not necessarily mean death, but even if the symptoms are not very severe, there is a 96-97 percent chance that you will take precautionary measures. And it will be completely cured in 7-10 days through symptomatic treatment. In case of severe symptoms, hospitalization or quarantine will be required.
A question is also asked about coronavirus in children. Parents with common sense are happy to read the information available on social media that coronavirus has no effect on children, while serious parents are rightly concerned about young children. Are worried As parents are naturally more sensitive about their children, it is important to consider this aspect as well.
According to the research done so far, the cases of coronavirus in children are almost non-existent and recently 44672 authentic corona patients were studied at Yale University Connecticut USA out of which only 1023 ie 1% patients are less than ten years Older children were found and none of them died of the coronavirus. (Research and analysis cited by Layal Liverpool newscientist.com) This news certainly has a happy side for parents and a source of satisfaction for them. While children under the age of ten are generally still naturally protected from the effects of the epidemic, there is also the concern that children, however, maybe only one percent. Arizona infected with a virus.

How should we feed on Eid?

Ramadan and the following feast days cause a drastic change in our diet. In order for this change not to affect our health negatively, Specialist & Dietitian made important warnings.

Due to the changes in the diet during the month of Ramadan, it is necessary to pay attention to some issues in the transition to the normal eating order. Fasting for long hours slows metabolism and our body gets used to this system. For this reason, with the Ramadan Feast that comes right after Ramadan, health problems start to emerge due to irregularities in the metabolism.
The best part of the holiday is family visits and those wonderful holiday tables. The long time spent at the table and the desire to taste each dish cause excessive consumption of the food. Excessive meals, heavy sweets, caffeinated beverages, chocolates, and candies, which are consumed suddenly after the 1-month fasting period, cause various disorders in the digestive system and other organs. The most important of these are indigestion, stomach, and intestinal problems. For this reason, preserving the eating discipline as much as possible during the feast will make it easier to get used to the post-feast order.
So, how will we behave in these days when all eating and drinking bans are lifted? If we do not want to be from our health during the Eid al-Fitr, we should learn to conserve moderate nutrition. A healthy and balanced diet is of great importance, especially during Ramadan Feast. The time of fasting should be gradually changed from the eating habits the body is accustomed to regular feeding. It is necessary to be careful while gradually increasing the number of meals decreasing in two to 3 main and 3 snacks. Snack habit is very important to accelerate the metabolism that slows down while fasting. It is one of the biggest mistakes that you can make a meal with just desserts.
During Eid al-Fitr, main meals should be fed rich in carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals, never disrupt breakfast, water consumption should be emphasized, and care should be taken not to eat too many sweet-type foods in snacks.
The first day of the feast should start the day with a light breakfast, as we did in Sahar, and no meals should be skipped throughout the day.
During the Ramadan feast, attention should be paid to the consumption of sweets, chocolate, and as much as possible from the tendency to over-eat.
Sahar dishes that we eat during Ramadan should never be served as a night meal after Ramadan. food should be avoided as usual.
Especially during the feast, fluid intake should be increased and approximately 1.5-2 liters of water should be drunk daily. Fluid needs can be supported with liquid foods such as sugar-free compote and buttermilk.
In order to prevent some digestive system disorders such as constipation due to fasting during the month of Ramadan, it is important to consume the recommended amount of vegetables and fruits in the season. One of our meals must-have vegetables and salads.
Prepare Your Festive Rice
Rice, which is eaten with healthy foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meat and beans during the feast can help provide a balanced diet. Especially children and adults eating brown rice; Folate has a diet that contains higher amounts of important nutrients like vitamin B, potassium, fiber and vitamin A.
Research has revealed that people consuming brown rice reduce the amount of added sugar in their diet by 4 teaspoons (16 grams) and reduce the saturated fat content by 7 grams.
Even though it feels like a period when food consumption is restricted during the feast, uncontrolled food consumption should be prevented; The habit of sitting at the table and eating too much and fast at one time, drinking little water, skipping snacks, turning to sugary foods more than necessary and living a still life should definitely be abandoned.
